Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises Inc. (“Nouveau Monde” or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:NOU) is pleased to announce that it has completed a combined magnetic and time-domain electromagnetic airborne survey over its Matawinie Property (or the “Property”) located about 140km north of Montreal. As described in the Company’s news release dated February 12th 2013, Nouveau Monde has an option to acquire an undivided 100% interest in the Property which consists of six group of claims located within a 50 km radius in the Matawinie regional area just North of St-Michel-des-Saints, Province of Québec. These claims are located at the Eastern limit of the highly prospective Central Metasedimentary belt of the Grenville geological province, host to many active graphite projects. The host rocks in that region are graphitic crystalline marbles and paragneiss, similar to the host stratigraphy at Timcal’s Lac des Iles graphite mine, currently Canada’s only producing graphite mine.

The airborne survey totalled 1470 line-km over six distinct blocks. Results outlined an impressive total of over 15km of conductive anomalies that are coincident with high-grade carbon graphite values obtained during the 2012 due diligence sampling (see maps at:http://tiny.cc/ocdmuw). The 2012 sampling resulted in the collection of grab samples of up to 19.25% carbon graphite located on the Property. High grade graphite is interpreted to be the most likely source of the main conductors on the Property and targeted prospecting during spring 2013 added to the results of this survey will yield to high quality drill targets for summer 2013.

The airborne survey results were monitored and assessed after each flight by Nouveau-Monde technical team. This ability enabled customizing of the survey design on an ongoing basis by following conductive trends thus optimizing the outcome of the survey. As a result, an additional 57 claims were added to the Property by map staking where significant conductors were detected. The Property now covers a total of 14,573 hectares on 247 mining claims.

The airborne survey was acquired by Prospectair Geosurveys of Gatineau using a Eurocopter EC120 aircraft equipped with a lightweight time-domain electromagnetic systems and a Geometrics magnetometer. This cost effective geophysical configuration is well adapted for reconnaissance surveys with the objective of delineating conductors to a depth of about 150m while maintaining a good spatial resolution.
